Custom Bar Build

I had the opportunity this past month to do two custom orders for clients that had something unique for me to build.  They were both doing restoration projects and it was fun to build for two guys that wanted something different and really had a passion for their bikes.

The first pair I made for a customer who brought me in a digital copy of an old Stellings and Hellings catalog. He wanted to reproduce one of the bars with slight modifications and add a dimple for stock controls. I’ll be placing a copy of the digital catalog he gave me in the “gallery” section of this site in case anyone else wants to draw any inspiration from it. I made a few extra copies of his particular bar as I received some interest in them and I am making them available for purchase as well.

The second set of bars was for a customer doing a restoration of an early HD. He had a pair of bars off of a very old bike that he wanted to have reproduced. I took the measurements off of the bars and fabricated a new set with the same setup and had them chromed.  He is going to run basic controls so they’re not dimpled or drilled and when he sends me a pic of the bike, I’ll put that up in the gallery.
