The shop will be closed on July 1st thru July 4th and will re open on Tuesday, July 5th. A group of us are taking the bikes north, up the California coast to Santa Cruz and San Francisco and back down the central valley over the course of the holiday weekend. I’ll post some pics of the trip on the Facebook page and do some Twitter posts from the road.
We at Vindikta will be attending Born Free to enjoy the show, but we will not be vending this year. Keep an eye out for Juan from Nomad Leather Tooling who will have a booth, he does some of the fantastic leather work seen on bikes we’ve worked on. Born Free is about the love of old motorcycles and like minded individuals having a good time enjoying each others company & these bikes of the past. It is also a family event,young and old a-like are welcome to come out and enjoy the day. The show is meant to unite people from all walks of life by bringing the passion that we all have of these old machines together for one day. If you come out to the event please be prepared to have a great time,enjoy some vintage bikes..lots of vintage bikes in a peaceful friendly family environment. The event site and local law enforcement have a no Patch or Colors policy.

Big Bear Choppers has been hosting the event for 9 years, this event is the only run of its kind ever to be held in the San Bernardino Mountains and Big Bear Choppers has created a run that has grown by the thousands every year. The past events have welcomed cast members from the “Sons of Anarchy” and entertainment ranging from Vince Neil of Motley Crue to Pauly D from Jersey Shore. In 2008 we had a guest appearance from Criss Angel, one thing for sure is Big Bear Choppers does not to disappoint. The 2011 RIDE THE MOUNTAIN event is sure to be full of surprises!
Big Bear Choppers is excited to continue its Annual Legendary Poker Run, the best mountain riding in Southern California. Entry Fee is $35 per poker hand and includes; event entrance, T-Shirt and event pin. Pre Registration info is available through the BBC website www.bigbearchoppers.com. The Pre Registration package also includes, FREE VIP PARKING. The run takes participants up the mountain, around the lake and throughout Big Bear Valley. Same day registration begins at 7:00 a.m., all hands must be turned in Saturday June 11, 2011 at the BBC Factory registration booth, by 2:00 p.m. Awards are presented at 2.30 p.m.at the main event concert stage @ Snow Summit.
The Ride the Mountain Bike Show returns again this year with the coveted Big Bear Choppers trophies currently being fabricated at the facility. Big Bear has added more categories this year in order to attract more builders. Big Bear Choppers Customer Built Class, Big Bear Choppers Factory Built Class, Harley & Custom Class and the Classic Class (1983 or older). The Big Bear Choppers classes are free to enter. The fee for all other classes is a new lower price to attract more bikes! $20.00 this includes event admission. Bike Show sign up is from 6 am to 9.30 am at the top of the Snow Summit parking lot. Pre registration is also available at the BBC website www.bigbearchoppers.com. Judging is from 9.30 am to noon. Awards are presented at 2.30 p.m.at the main event concert stage @ at Snow Summit.
This weekend is the Ink-N-Iron festival out in beautiful Long Beach. If you are free, it’s an opportunity that’s not to be missed. Great bands, wicked tattoos and fine rides! One day admission is $40. Gates open at 2 pm on Friday, and at 11 am on Saturday & Sunday.
